Ensuring transparency

The Board publishes financial statements annually to ensure transparency, accountability, and public trust. Each year, the Board’s Annual Accounts undergo an independent review by an external auditor.

Once the audit is complete and the auditor’s opinion is issued, the audited financial statements and accompanying report are made available on this page.

In addition, unaudited financial statements are published annually before the audit begins. These draft accounts are available for public inspection via our Public Notices page.

Your rights

Following the closure of the Audit Commission on 31 March 2015 the Local Audit and Accountability Framework for IDBs has changed: Changes to the Smaller Authorities’ Local Audit and Accountability Framework: A Guide. You have legal rights to inspect, ask questions about and challenge items in our Accounts.
