An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Environment Team at the Water Management Alliance (WMA) — a group of Internal Drainage Boards (IDBs) responsible for managing flood risk and land drainage across the region.
As an Environmental Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that WMA’s activities protect and enhance the natural environment. Working closely with Operational and Technical (Catchment) Services, you will provide ecological advice to support the delivery of projects while minimising environmental impact and maximising biodiversity benefits.
Working in the East of England, this is a fantastic opportunity for a career in flood risk and water management. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and be a part of a hard-working team.
The NFM Lead is a key role in developing and coordinating flood risk, ecological enhancement and river restoration projects for the member boards of the WMA. You will have a lead role in enabling projects that will help improve the flood resilience of IDB areas and wider catchments and help enhance the environment.
