Felixstowe Lollipop Groynes

Overview

The East Suffolk Water Management Board’s Coastal Team undertook a trial repair project at the Felixstowe Lollipop Groynes on behalf of East Suffolk Council. The project tested an innovative approach to extending the lifespan of ageing coastal defence structures, using a bespoke shuttering system to encapsulate existing concrete and timber groynes and provide new concrete capping.
